Our full-day Head Start program provides a comprehensive preschool program for children whose parents are working or in school and need childcare. If you qualify for a Working Connections Child Care Subsidy, you qualify for Head Start!
The children in our Head Start classes participate in learning activities, social development, and learn problem-solving skills. They receive nutritious hot meals, health screenings, and follow-up. Our Head Start teachers are highly skilled and trained to work with parents to design individual learning plans for each child.
Parents of our Head Start children are encouraged to set goals for themselves and their families, and receive support and assistance in meeting those goals. Parents may receive assistance with employment and training, parenting skills, leadership development, and social services. Parents are also actively involved in decisions about the Head Start program.
